Our homeschool trip this year was through Texas and Louisiana. My mom came with us. She's been such a blessing these past two years as the kids' english teacher. She devotes so much time to their lessons and grading. She's basically creating her own lesson plans, teaching, and grading, guiding and helping the kids. We were able to visit my sister, Amber, go to the San Jacinto Monument and learning about the battle of San Jacinto and reviewed some Texas history. Then, we drove to Louisiana and went to downtown New Orleans and saw a few beautiful plantation homes in Louisiana. The Whitney Plantation home, which focuses on the lives of the enslaved people who worked and lived at the plantation was super interesting. We also went to the Infinity Space Museum and the beach in Mississippi. It was a fun trip with some of my favorite people!
