Armadillo Weekend

 

Grant's class animal is an armadillo and the class owns a pretty cool and unique stuffed armadillo. He can curl up into a ball just like a real armadillo! This weekend was Grant's turn to bring the class' stuffed armadillo home and take pictures of his adventures. Friday, we visited cousins, made popcorn, and 

watched a movie. Saturday morning, we visited the Witte Museum, which was so fun! We even found the armadillo exibit and snapped a picture of them in front of it! Once we got home, we realized our armadillo friend was no longer with us. We frantically retraced our steps, searched the van, and called the museum. No special class armadillo stuffed animal. I began to panic, where was I going to find a replacement stuffed armadillo that could ball up like a real armadillo. The teacher and kids in the class were sure to recognize a different toy. We had to fess up. Thank goodness for Amazon, we ordered just an armadillo stuffed animal to replace the armadillo, printed the pictures from the weekend and explained everything to Grant's teacher. She was very understanding about the missing class friend and grateful that we had a plan to replace him. We sent the new armadillo with Grant after it was delivered. Whew! Our weekend with the class armadillo was much more of an adventure than we anticipated.
